Publication: Arizona Republic; Date: 08/12/2004

Standard Bolt and its Chrome Hardware Supply division said Tuesday that it will relocate from south Phoenix to a north Mesa business park to expand production of its motorcycle parts division.

The company, with 55 employees, plans to move in December to its 25,500-square-foot space at the northwest corner of Greenfield and McDowell roads in the Dover Industrial Park. Standard Bolt, which began in 1976, started serving the electronics and aerospace industries, including customers such as Boeing Co., Motorola Inc. and Intel Corp.

The Chrome Hardware Supply unit was begun in 1998 to service the growing motorcycle market with chrome fasteners.

It is now one of the nation's largest supplier of such motorcycle parts working with big names in the industry such as Orange County Choppers.
