Samuelson-Mckone Begins Construction On Two Buildings At Dover I Industrial Park
MESA, Ariz. (July 16, 2007) - Samuelson-McKone Development has begun construction on its two building Red Mountain Business Center development at Dover Industrial Park. The 65-acre park is located at the northwest corner of Greenfield and McDowell roads.
The buildings were designed to accommodate office, industrial and/or warehouse users. The first, which is located on McDowell Road and Omaha, will contain 27,437 square feet of space. The second building, situated at Omaha and Oasis streets, will contain approximately 39.039 square feet of space. Both structures will be constructed of concrete tilt panels and insulated glass and will include loading areas in the rear.
"We chose the Mesa submarket for this project because of its rapid growth and lack of this flex type property. We have chosen a design that caters to the mid-level and larger users with a maximum of 39,039 square feet," says Danny McKone of Samuelson-McKone. "There has been very little product of this size and quality being developed. Completion of these buildings is scheduled for early 2008, which we believe will be great timing for the post-holiday market upswing."
The two Samuelson-McKone structures were designed by Dickinson Architects of Phoenix and are being constructed by PFG Construction Inc. of Phoenix. Kris Martin and Marc Tuite of Grubb & Ellis BRE serve as exclusive leasing agents for the Red Mountain Business Center.
Dover Industrial Park currently contains approximately 485,000 square feet of commercial buildings. An additional 215,000 square feet is planned, including the Samuelson-McKone buildings. Dover Industrial Park contains such noteworthy businesses as Timken, Aliant Tech Systems (ATK), Cornerstone Homes, Kennedy Design Build, Trans-Matic and Standard Bolt/Chrome Hardware Supply.
