Juniors teeing off

At least 25 Arizona golfers, including Philip Francis and Brooke Todare, will be playing when the American Junior Golf Association returns to the Valley for the Heather Farr Classic on Easter Weekend.
The tournament, April 9-11 at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, will feature 120 top players ages 12-18. Reigning Rolex Junior Player of the Year Paula Creamer is the defending girls champion. Three of last year's top five boys finishers, who includes Francis, also will be playing.
Other Arizona players will be Taylor Brown, Cameron Edens, Ryan Kelley, Melissa Mabanta and Cheyenne Woods of Phoenix; Erik Coover, David Dragoo, Drew Kittleson, Tim McKenney, Blair Myers, Andrew Parrott and Josh Porter of Scottsdale; Michael Haenel Jr. and Taylor Tryhus of Paradise Valley; Ryan Brooks and Mark Mueller of Mesa; Jonathan Khan of Tucson; Brad Nicholson and T.J. Rickerd of Chandler; Kyle Nielsen of Lake Havasu City; Christopher Carson of Tempe; and Morgan Grantham of Kingman.
